This morning I’ve been being grumpy and having a little vent on twitter.

The last few months I’ve been busy with the demands of the rest of my life and so neglecting my smut writing and my readers.  So really it isn’t fair to blame you all for not reading and commenting, I have to give you something to read and comment on.

The best relationships work because there is communication, I guess this is true between smut-writer and reader as much as any other.

So my darling readers here is a little challenge, a little bit of carrot and a little bit of stick.

At midnight GMT I will write one of you lovely readers a piece of smut.  Just for you and as you wish.  As filthy as you like, featuring Ruby or anyone else you want, though bear in mind I’m no fanfic writer so asking for you, Edward Cullen and Jen Aniston might be beyond my skills.

But you have to work for your prize.

To win this little challenge you have to leave a comment on this post telling me which is your favourite post on the blog and why.  I’ll choose my favourite at 23:00 GMT and contact  you to arrange the details.  The story will be published at midnight.

Are you up to it? Am I?

Let’s find out!

first off, i can’t actually enter the comp, as i won’t be around tonight (, but being guilty of reading and running on far too many occasions, i thought i’d take the stick and not ask for the carrot. though, of course, for the right person, the stick can be a reward in and of itself… *grin*
so, in no particular order, pet, hotel (parts 1 & 2), and eyeliner.
pet because in a few short words, you managed to convey the (possibly) oft-ignored point that the dom needs the sub as much as the sub needs their dom. and the bell on the collar just added that extra little bit of feline sensuality and so much texture to the whole.
hotel because it was just such a hot scenario. the whole thing. one particular point was when he made her undress then admired her, as an object of art as well as sex. but also what stuck in my mind was the BJ, when someone briefly came in and saw the whole thing, but she only heard them, there was something about that, the submission, perhaps the luxuriant submission that appealed greatly…
and eyeliner was a thing of beauty – so sharp and clear that it slammed me back into my teenage body and made me want to hug my teenage self and lend her some of my experience, reassure her, bring her out of her chrysalis that little bit faster…
don’t stop, darling, you give us beauty and sensuality and poignancy.
    thank you.

My two picks are from your 100 collection:
    Wet & Crack.

Crack because it’s so easy to visualize and easily stirred up memories.
Wet because it’s a turn on as a guy to have a woman salivate over taking him in her mouth.

Both are short but effective pieces. Big plus that there’s no poetic or flowery language.

I have too many favorite pieces to pick just one, and I, too, will answer your question without expectation of being part of the contest. And if I were to pick one, my favorite piece of yours is one that can’t be found here, a gorgeous piece of stars and lovers and the perils of pride and self absorption.

I hope you won’t stop writing. Even if you do shut down Ruby’s House of Smut, I hope you continue to let your imagination spin and weave with the exquisite beauty that is characteristic of your work. Your skill, your finesse, your amazing way of weaving metaphor and truth into a masterpiece that grabs a reader by the throat, heart, and elsewhere is something I’d despair to hear will be no longer.

Your readers adore you. Whether they read in silence or applaud your skill, singing your praises from the rooftops you touch us. Into spots dark and secret or bright and shining, your words wiggle and squirm and rouse imaginations. Never doubt that.

Aisling, I know which piece you mean and it is one I love the best too. Thank you for your many and continuing votes of confidence.

Turned on, Oh you know I sometimes I forget the 100 word pieces but I do like Wet too, there is more than a little wishful thinking in that one.

Squeaks, throw me a hashtag next time I’m smutting up the timeline and I’m sure we can get you a little piece of Ruby for yourself.

I can’t really enter as I have my own piece already. hehe Anal Glands is my favorite story just because you not only had the balls and imagination to do it, but put it on your blog as well. Flying Mormon Outhouse is also very near and dear to my heart for the same reasons. :) And I’m sorry for being a twat and not commenting. I’m often at work, but no excuse!

What’s this talk about not writing anymore?? What about The Erotic Notebook: Anthology Two??

Tell these “demands” in your life to fuck off and leave you alone. Lock the doors, turn off the phone, disconnect the Internet, and get to writing. It’s really quite simple. *rolls eyes dramatically*

The stories I liked best because I can still remember snippets of them after all these months later are:

    Her Spell, Taken and Whisper

Heh, well Emma, I’m not sure The Imp would take to such language from her mother ;)
